Richard Valdes

Having been raised in East Los Angeles, Richard Valdes studied at the California Institute of the Arts, Chouinard Art School in Los Angeles. He graduated from the institute with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1971. Richard has participated in several exhibitions in Southern California. Among these are the 2002 and 2004 “Dia De Los Muertos” shows at Self Help Graphics.

The pleasure Richard finds in his manipulation of paint displays itself in his varied brushstrokes and experimentation with texture and color. Richard explains, “My artwork is of beauty and love, and the love of life at the moment.”
